Family day out on the river
TWO proud parents have been showing off their new family.
The two swans have been attracting a lot of attention from passers-by as they have been swimming with their two cygnets on the River Skerne, in Darlington.
There were fears that the young swans might not hatch as the swans’ nest was being targeted by vandals who were throwing stones at it.
However, the cygnets appear to be fit and healthy as they have been hunting for food with their parents.
