POLICE believe a burglary and theft in Middlesbrough could be linked.
Thieves entered Motive Car Accessories unit on Ormesby Road, Park End Middlesbrough sometime between closing at 5.30pm on Tuesday and 08.35am on Wednesday.
They climbed onto the metal roof, cut through it and climbed into the toilet area of the building. They then entered the storeroom where the alarm activated. After unplugging the alarm wiring they made off with cash and other property.
Earlier on Tuesday, at around 11am two men pulled up in a white van at Advanced Utility Solutions in Carcut Road in North Ormesby and picked up two Stihl saws and after a confrontation with staff made off with the saws.
Both men are described as bald and wearing green boilersuits.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Adrian Bradley at Middlesbrough CID on 01642-303126 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
