A PROTESTER opposed to Hambleton District Council’s plans for car park charges is to stand for election to the authority.
Rosemary Dalton is to stand in the Swainby by-election which is being held after the death of its former occupier John Morley.
The district council election is on June 4 and Ms Dalton was a leading member of the anti-car park action group set up against the charges.
She is to stand as a Liberal Democrat candidate and is keen that the public who supported her stance on the charges back her now.
