A TV antiques expert will be hoping his money talks when his new show starts filming at the end of the month.
BBC 1 show Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, hosted by David Harper sees TV experts put to the test with items being put up for auction.
People can come and see the filming in action on May 23, where retailers from the Bank and Newgate in Barnard Castle will be hosting a number of activities which include free antique valuations.
"Its a great opportunity to see behind the scenes of a successful TV show and we are expecting a lot of interest, particularly with the free valuations," said Mr Harper.
"As a local I am delighted that the show is being filmed in Barnard Castle and I think its a great opportunity to promote the town and its wonderful antique offer."
Mr Harper will be selling some of the items that he has bought to raise funds for The Witham in Barnard Castle.
"We are keen to create a real festival atmosphere so we are urging people to pop down because there will be lots to see and do," said Annalisa Ward, from Barnard Castle Vision.
Limited tickets are available to take part in the filming of the final TV show and auction at The Bowes Museum on June 27.
Tickets are 12 which includes a glass of wine and nibbles and are available from Annalisa Ward at The Witham on 01833-631107 or email withamredev@tiscali.co.uk.
