A WELSH singer-songwriter will play a concert in a Durham theatre next week.
Judith Owen, who is now based in the United States, will perform in The Studio, in the Gala Theatre, on Saturday, May 23.
Ms Owen’s songs are described as tuneful and slinky with jazz influences, backed by her own confident piano style.
She has been compared with Joni Mitchell, Barbra Streisand and Dusty Springfield.
Ms Owen’s latest release is 2008’s Mopping Up Karma. She is married to actor Harry Shearer, who provides the voices for The Simpsons TV show.
Tickets for the show, which begins at 7.45pm, are priced £10 for adults and £9 for concessions.
For more information and to book, call the Gala Theatre box office on 0191-332-4041.
