AN AMBITIOUS young catering student has landed a dream job at one of the country's top restaurants.
Nunthorpe teenager Matthew Beadnall will start work as a commis-chef at The Berkeley in London, owned by celebrity chef Marcus Wareing.
The job offer comes just months after Matthew organised work experience for himself at Raymond Blanc's world-famous Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons in Oxford.
The 18-year-old said: "I'm really excited about starting my career at The Berkeley because its such a prestigious restaurant with two Michelin stars.
"I want to learn as much as I can and see where my career takes me. I'd love to open my own restaurant one day but for now, I'm just looking forward to learning from Marcus - he's an awesome chef."
The chef, a protege of Gordon Ramsay, took over The Berkeley last year and famously prepared a dessert of egg custard tart for the Queen's 80th birthday banquet.
