More than 100 outfit will be appearing on the catwalk courtesy of the costume construction and entertainment design craft students from Cleveland College of Art & Design (CCAD).

The evening of extravagance and entertainment will be staged at The Grand Hotel, Hartlepool, on Friday May 29.

"The audience will be blown away by the diverse range of large and outrageous costumes they have produced. Its going to be great fun and a very entertaining evening."

Mature student Sharon Ramage, 49, of Hartlepool, who is modelling her Madame Melba creation made from Liquorice Allsorts, said: "I started a degree in textiles 30 years ago but never got to finish it. Now Ive had the chance to come back here to CCAD I love it.

"Costume making is a strange career choice but Im not a nine to five person and I love making stuff so its the perfect course for me and I cant wait to show off my work."
