HEALTH students have shown their caring side by organising a fundraising event to help protect vulnerable young people from being drawn into the sex industry.
The group, who are studying Level 3 Btec in National Health Qualification at Middlesbrough College, carried out a sponsored car wash and silence.
The 15 students managed to raise £368 for Barnardos SECOS (Sexually Exploited Children Outreach Services).
Sarah Booth, of the charity, said: Its wonderful that these young students had had the drive and inspiration to organise their own fundraising day to support a local charity.
