A COUPLE who hope to win a luxury wedding are looking for support for their charity events.
Christopher Taylor and Gemma Hinds, both 25, are finalists in the Five Brides, One Wedding competition.
It has been organised by Beamish Hall Hotel, near Stanley County Durham, and Metro Radio.
The couple that raises the most money for the Cash For Kids charity will win a £25,000 wedding package and includes a wedding in the Caribbean.
Mr Taylor, who works at Asda in his hometown in Stanley, said: "It would mean a lot to us to win because we would not be able to afford a decent wedding until 2020."
The couple held a tombola and a raffle in the supermarket yesterday (tue) and went on a pub crawl round Sunderland’s night spots to raise money.
They are having another raffle in the Metrocentre on Friday and doing a sponsored car wash with a karaoke machine at The Hill Top on Saturday.
The couple met at Tanfield School and have been together seven years.
Miss Hinds, who works as a manager at Scope, said: "All of the money raised will stay in the region and help children of the North-East so it is for an excellent cause."
