RESIDENTS are being encouraged to voice their concerns at police meetings being held in villages across the area today and tomorrow.
Police and Community Together (Pact) meetings have been set up to discuss local issues with police.
The Bishop Middleham Pact will meet at the Old Fleece Inn in Bishop Middleham tomorrow at 6.30pm.
Witton-le-Wear Community Centre will host the Witton-le-Wear Pact tomorrow at 7.30pm.
In Teesdale, the Dales Pact will meet this evening at 7pm in Romaldkirk Reading Rooms while Coundon Pact will meet at the same time at the Community Centre in Coundon.
On Wednesday, the Byerley Pact Meeting be held at Shildon Civic Hall at 6.30pm.
Inspector Kevin Tuck, from Barnard Castle Police, said: "Pact meetings are all about trying to identify the problems and issues that may be worrying people where they live.
"They are open to people of all ages and are very informal but they are a good opportunity to discuss things which may affect peoples quality of life."
