A university has spent £20,000 on re-branding and changing its name.
The Univeristy of Teesside will now be called Teesside University, which is was most people already call it.
And the jagged U-shape, with a white T inside has been replaced by a vibrant-coloured U surrounding with a clear white T.
The re-branding has cost the university £20,000 it will be used as leaflets and prospectuses are reprinted and signs will be replaced as and when the university can afford it.
Graham Henderson, vice chancellor of Teesside University said: "Over the past 17 years this university has expanded a lot.
"We are much more actively engaged with business, and much more committed to work around innovation and research.
"We just felt the old logo didn't represent the university we have now become."
The university took time out to speak to staff, students and potential students on their views on a new logo.
"They said we see ourselves as a vibrant, forward-looking, energetic, engaged, can-do sort of place, and we wanted to see if we could represent that.
