A BUS company will take cricket fans to and from next week’s Test match between England and the West Indies.
Go North East will provide a regular bus service from the railway station in Durham City to the Riverside, Chester-le-Street, and a park-and-ride shuttle service from Thursday to Monday, May 18.
Its service 500 will run at least every ten minutes from the station to the Riverside, between 9am and 11am each day, and return to the station from 6pm to 8pm. Fares are £2 each way.
Six-hundred spaces will be available for the park-and-ride service at the Lambton Estate, in nearby Bournmoor, with shuttle buses to the Riverside operating from 9am to 11.15am and return buses from 6pm to 8pm.
Each car will cost £2, including free travel on the shuttle bus. Spaces need to be booked on 0844-994466 or at durhamccc.co.uk Go North East services 71 and 78 also regularly visit the Riverside from Sunderland, Houghton-le-Spring, Stanley and Consett.
Services 21, 22, 25 and 50 also stop near the ground and provide regular services from Newcastle, Gateshead, Low Fell, Durham, Spennymoor and Bishop Auckland.
