RAILWAY museum staff are trying to trace four former engine drivers for an oral history project.
The Locomotion: National Railway Museum in Shildon is keen to hear from former drivers Walter Hughes, Albert Newman, Alan Gill and Stan Pickney - all believed to be from the Darlington area.
The museum’s education officer, Tony Attle, hopes to record the quartet’s stories onto audio in a bid to build up the establishment’s oral history archive.
Museum staff were alerted to the four former drivers after reading an article about them in Heritage Railway Magazine.
The men are asked to contact Mr Attle at the museum on 01388-771444.
