POLICE are appealing for help tracing two men seen behaving suspiciously in a supermarket.
The pair, both in their late 30s were spotted in the Tesco store at Dragonville, in Durham City on Wednesday, March 4.
At about 10.50am, the first man was seen removing a security lock from a Sony lap top computer, then left the store without purchasing anything. He is described as being about 6ft tall, of medium build, with short cropped, receding hair and with tattoos on his right forearm.
At about 4pm, a second man entered the store and again removed the security lock from a lap top, this time an HP TX2530, while an accomplice covered a security camera.
He is described as being about 5ft 10, of medium build, with short cropped dark hair and again left the store without buying anything.
Police say that, in both cases, the men were not carrying the lap tops when they left the store and it is believed they may have been working with others or together.
Anyone who recognises the pair is asked to ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
