THE 13 candidates in the Hartlepool mayoral election have been confirmed.
The election, on Thursday, June 4, will be the third time townspeople have gone to the polls to select a mayor.
Current Mayor Stuart Drummond is again standing for re-election.
The candidates, in alphabetical order, are: Martyn Aiken, UK Independence Party; Christine Blakey, Independent; Ian Cameron, Independent; Stuart Drummond, Independent; Cheryl Dunn, British National Party – Protecting British Jobs; Lynne Gillam, Liberal Democrat; Jim Gillespie, Independent; Barbara Jackson, Independent; Tony Morrell, Independent; Iris Ryder, Independent; Chris Simmons, Labour; Alison Willetts, Independent; and David Young, Conservative Party.
