POLICE are hunting burglars who struck twice in Hartlepool over the Bank Holiday weekend.
In the early hours of Friday, May 1, thieves raided a house on Dunoon Road in Owton Manor, stealing a 40in Sony LCD television, a Sony Ericsson mobile phone, a Nintendo DS and games and cash.
The 63-year-old and 61-year-old residents, who have lived in the house for 37 year, have been left devastated by the break in.
The second incident took place at 1.45pm on Monday, May 4. Two men were disturbed trying to break into the house, and fled in the direction of Elgin Road.
