RESIDENTS are being urged to have their say on the use of King George V Playing Fields at Guisborough.
People are invited to an information event to put forward any ideas for the area.
Councillor Sheelagh Clarke, Redcar and Cleveland Council's cabinet member for culture leisure and tourism, said: "We have had a lot of dialogue with concerned residents and voluntary and community sector groups who use the playing fields.
"Now we want to take this a stage further and set up consultation to enable residents to express their views and ideas about the use of the field now and to explain how they would like it to be used in the future.
"The best outcome from the consultation from our point of view would be the formation of a Friends of KGV group, who would work together to identify their priorities and develop their ideas to improve and develop the area."
The event takes place in Sleights Court Community Centre, Helmsley Drive, Guisborough, on Thursday, May 14, from 2pm to 7pm.
If you cannot attend, but would like to comment or raise an issue contact Andy Pearson, sports and leisure development manager, on 01642-469421 or Lynda McMann, community development officer, on 01287-204999.
