NORTH-EAST film makers are being invited to show off their skills in a competition to seek out undiscovered talent in the UK.
Last year’s competition saw Ian Fenton, from Darlington, shortlisted as one of 12 film makers to make it to the final for his film Big Push.
Now ambitious film makers from the town can follow in his footsteps by uploading their short films to virgin mediashorts.co.uk The deadline for entries is midnight on Monday, June 22.
Following this date, all entries will be reviewed and shortlisted down to 12.
The judging panel will then go on to select the winning film.
The overall winner will win up to £30,000 funding and get the chance to work with Virgin Media and the UK Film Council’s New Cinema Fund to make their next short film.
All shortlisted films will be shown on Virgin1 later this year.
