A WOMAN seen being assaulted and bundled into a car has been traced and was involved in a ''domestic incident'' police said today.
Northumbria Police said they were satisfied the woman involved was uninjured.
Police expressed concern for the woman's welfare as she was seen being assaulted and then bundled into a car on Wallsend Road, North Shields, and driven off shortly before 7am yesterday morning.
A police spokeswoman said today: ''The parties involved in the incident have been traced. It was a couple having a domestic argument and we are satisfied the female is uninjured as a result of the incident.''
