A HOSPICE fundraiser will be a family affair, with a mum, dad and their three children all taking part.
Husband and wife Kevin and Alison Bradley will take part in the St Cuthbert’s Hospice Sunflower Cycle or Saunter with son Stuart, 14, and twins Mark and Ryan, eight.
Participants in the Durham hospice’s event will walk or cycle eight or 14 miles through the Lanchester Valley, on Sunday, May 17.
Mr and Mrs Bradley first took part in 2006, with Stuart joining the following spring. This year will be the first for Mark and Ryan.
Mrs Bradley said: "We felt that you never know when you, or someone you know, might need the services provided by your local hospice and this was brought home to us more when a neighbour of my parents spent their last days in St Cuthbert’s Hospice.
"We wanted, as a family, to support their incredible work. We’re an active family and are always out and about, so we’re all looking forward to spending a Sunday all together in the great outdoors."
Registration for the Sunflower Cycle or Saunter is £5, plus sponsorship. For more information, call Caroline Broadfoot on 0191-386-1170.
