NEW MUSIC
Emma Deigman
20 year old Emma Deigman is another hidden artist that’s coming into the public eye this year. Following a year in the studio with pop maestro Elliot Kennedy, Emma finally releases her debut single, It Was You on March 23rd. Recalling the best of 70’s funky soul, the single is an infectious mix of modern and old school, offering a healthy antidote to the current onslaught of electro pop. With a voice that recalls her hero Rod Stewart and shades Joss Stone at her sunniest, Emma’s debut single, like her forthcoming album, is soul music to make you smile. Deigman is still at the birth of her career but already has some very impressive admirers, including Bryan Adams, he recently turned up to one of her gigs and Gary Barlow has declared himself a huge fan, and on hearing a handful of her songs Rod Stewart immediately offered to help her break the States. From the release of It Was You, follows a thrilling year for Deigman as she is embarking on a UK tour supporting Girls Aloud; See her live at Newcastle Metro Radio Arena on 5-6th May. Definitely something not to miss.
