COMPETITORS from across the country will be visiting a County Durham pony show at the weekend.
The Dales Pony Society Spring Stallion and Breed Show will take place at Streatlam Farm, near Barnard Castle on Saturday.
More than 150 ponies from as far away as Kent and Surrey will be competing at the show, which starts at 10am.
Of the ponies, there will be more than 20 stallions competing.
Freda Longstaff, from the Dales Pony Society, said: "We have people coming from all over the place.
"We'll have a good turnout of stallions and they are always a sight to see.
"Dales Ponies have always been very popular - they are great for riding and driving.
"I've been told it will be clear weather so well just keep our fingers crossed."
Entrance to the show is £2, which includes a catalogue. Hot and cold refreshments will be available all day.
Streatlam Farm can be found on the A688 road between Barnard Castle and Staindrop. The Dales Pony Society also holds a summer show in August at the same venue.
