TEDDIES took over a nursery in Teesdale at the weekend as children, families and teachers attended an open day.
The Teddy bears picnic at the Small World Nursery in Staindrop, near Barnard Castle was attended by more than 40 families, all armed with their favourite furry friends.
Past, present and prospective children came along to the party which was held in the nurserys garden in fine weather.
Joanne Sowerby, from Small World Nursery, said: "The sun shone all day and we had lots of activities going on like face painting, teddy bear hunt, teddy bear crafts and name the bear."
A tombola stall was set up to raise money for the Butterwick Children's Hospice and the school raised over 60 for the charity.
