FORMER Darlington FC vice-chairman Raj Singh has this evening withdrawn his previous bid for the club after administrators failed to meet his one-week deadline.
Mr Singh, on behalf of his three-man consortium, made a bid for the administration-hit club last Monday, as well as for the ground and land. He placed a seven-day ultimatum on the offer.
However, club administrators, Brackenbury Clark & Co, extended last Mondays deadline until May 5.
Mr Singh said he only received an email from the administrators today and has decided to withdraw his initial offer.
He said: "We are not walking away but that offer and that structure will be withdrawn. We will go back to the drawing board."
