ORGANISERS behind a Teesside nature reserve are celebrating after receiving a £9,880 grant.
The National Lottery’s Awards for All grant will be used to increase awareness in Fairy Dell, Marton, Middlesbrough.
The project will focus particularly the wide variety of wildflowers that grow there, with the help of a series of guided walks.
The walks will be led by Martin Allen from Wildflower Arc.
Families are invited to take part in the first walk on Saturday, May 2, from 2pm to 4pm, starting at the main entrance to Fairy Dell Park, on Gunnergate Lane,.
There are some steep gradients and steps and children must be accompanied by an adult.
Further walks will take place on Wednesday, May 13, from 2pm to 4pm, Thursday, June 11, from 6.30pm to 8pm and Sunday, October 11, from 2pm to 4pm. No booking is required.
There will also be the Fairy Dell Festival, on Saturday, August 1. This will include dog agility demonstrations, magic, crafts and face painting.
