AN elderly driver has died after a two-car collision.
The collision took place at about 3.45pm yesterday, near Bagby, near Thirsk, North Yorkshire.
A grey Vauxhall Corsa, was in collision with a red Rover 400 at a junction with an unclassified road on the A19, known locally as Bagby junction.
The Rover was travelling north, towards Thirsk.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Police: "The driver of the Corsa, an elderly man and the sole occupant of the vehicle, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
"The two male occpuants of the Rover sustained minor injuries.
"They were treated at the Friarage Hospital, in Northallerton.
"It is believed the Corsa was travelling from the village of Sowerby.
"Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the Corsa prior to the collision."
Witnesses are asked to call traffic constable Paul Tempest, on 0845-60-60-247.
