POLICE in North Yorkshire are seeking witnesses to a road traffic accident which left six people injured.
The accident took place on the A6136 road between Richmonf and Catterick Garrison, at a place known locally as Longwood Bank, at 1.20am on Friday.
A silver Vauhall Vectra left the road and collided with a tree.
All six people in the car were injured, including a 19-year-old male from Richmond who was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. His condition is described as Serious but stable.
Two 21-year-olds from Catterick Garrison are also said to be serious but stable in the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton.
The fire and rescue service had to cut the driver from the car and the road was closed for four hours while investigations were carried out.
Just before the accident, the car left Richmond Market Place.
