GEORGE Houghton, the former chairman of Darlington Football Club, has cancelled an interview due to be held today.
The controversial millionaire had been scheduled to answer questions from The Northern Echo journalists this afternoon about the events leading up to the club's administration and his future plans for the Quakers.
However, a message left at the offices of The Northern Echo said that Mr Houghton has had to go to hospital and was unable to make the interview.
We hope that Mr Houghton is able to make a full recovery so that the interview can be rescheduled.
The Northern Echo asked readers to submit questions that they would like to see answered by Mr Houghton.
This resulted in fantastic response and many readers sent a number of searching questions.
These will be saved and put to Mr Houghton at a later date.
In the meantime, anybody who has any further questions they would like to see answered is welcome to email them to david.roberts@nne.co.uk.
