ENTERPRISING pupils have been given the opportunity to put their design and budgeting skills into action.
Students from Nunthorpe, Sacred Heart and St Peter's Schools were set the challenge of coming up with ideas to change the look of reception areas at offices belonging to social housing group Coast & Country in Spencerbeck, Grangetown, Redcar and Skelton.
They undertook detailed research, which included visiting each office, before designing the improved areas.
Iain Sim, Coast and Country chief executive, said: "All the schools gave great presentations and were worthy of winning. Their attention to detail, depth of research, and budgeting skills were impressive and they all showed great maturity and confidence when presenting their ideas to the judging panel.
"It was a hard decision due to the quality of the work done by each of the teams, but Nunthorpe School was judged to be the best."
As a reward for the hard work by the Nunthorpe pupils, Coast & Country will support the schools Make Your Mark club meetings, offering advice and guidance for 12 months.
