CARING students at a Guisborough College have raised more than £1,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The Health and Social Care students were inspired into action when a specialist nurse called into Prior Pursglove College to talk about the charity's vital services.
To collect the £1,300.01, they completed a variety of activities including bag packing at Morrisons, a street collection selling pin badges, a name the bear competition and a raffle.
Elsa Taylor, who works for the charity, said: "It is absolutely brilliant how much these students have raised in such a short period of time.
"They are all interested in working in the caring profession and what better way to get involved than raising money for cancer care."
