DETECTIVES investigating the death of a mother-of-two in a market town were still questioning a man today.
The woman, believed to be Julie Mordue, was stabbed was at a house on Vicars Croft, in Northallerton, North Yorkshire.
The incident was reported around 2.15pm on Tuesday and Miss Mordue is thought to have managed to call 999.
She was rushed to the town's Friarage Hospital, but doctors could not save her.
A 40-year-old man, thought to be her boyfriend Nigel Mclean, was arrested by police in connection with the incident and is still in custody.
Police forensic and scenes of crime teams sealed off the house, close to the town centre, and a police guard was placed outside.
A Northallerton Police spokesman said: "A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, but he has not been charged yet."
