A CHARITY night held in memory of a mother who died of cancer raised cash for the hospice that cared for her.
Vivian Tweedy, from Ferryhill, died at the age of 40 last September after fighting breast and bone cancer for around a decade.
The mother and grandmother-of-one spent the final stages of her life at Sedgefield Community Hospital.
Relatives joined forces with old school friend Brian O’Brian, who runs Pink Productions, to host a charity night at The Black Bull in Ferryhill, on Saturday April 4.
The event raised £500 which was donated to the community hospital’s palliative cancer care centre.
