CANCER GROUP: Volunteers from The Friarage Hospital’s breast cancer support group will be having a collection at Strikes garden centre, Northallerton, on bank holiday Monday, May 4, between noon and 4pm. THEATRE SHOW: Theatreworks, a company that specialises in period productions, is bringing two shows to the Georgian Theatre Royal, in Richmond, North Yorkshire, neat month. Tess, based on the novel by Thomas Hardy is performed on May 8 and 9, at 7.30pm. Babe The Sheep-Pig, based on the children’s book by the Dick King-Smith has two performances on May 24, at 2pm and 6pm. Ticket prices vary. MUSIC SHOW: Blue Skies, a Richmond-based trio, will be performing at The Station, in the town, on Friday, from 9pm. Entry is free. The group taps into a variety of musical genres, including jazz, blues, show tunes and contemporary pop music.
