YOUNG people from Northallerton and Stokesley are to take part in a talent show this weekend.
Groups of dancers as well as local bands and solo musicians will compete for a £100 first prize at Northallerton Town Hall on Sunday evening.
Special guests, the popular local band Eskimo Sandwich, will play while judging takes place. The talent show has been organised by North Yorkshire County Council’s 4Youth Service Hambleton North, as part of a project with Connecting Youth Culture and Northallerton Town Council.
Young people taking part have all been drawn from local schools and youth clubs.
County Council youth worker Alex Martin said: "There is so much talent out there among our young people and this event provides an excellent opportunity for them to show their ability and the wide range of positive and quality activities that many are involved in.
"Everybody is welcome to come along and enjoy the show."
Doors open at 6pm.
Tickets cost £1 and are available from Insite@Connections, in Northallerton High Street.
