RESIDENTS in Hartlepool are being urged to have their say on a town conservation area.
Council officials are hoping people will highlight features in the Grange Conservation Area, which need to be protected in the future.
The comments will be used to form part of a character appraisal of the conservation area, which is currently being prepared by the North of England Civic Trust, on behalf of Hartlepool Council.
The completed appraisal will be used for town planning purposes.
Sarah Scarr, the council's landscape planning and conservation manager, said: "Residents will have their own ideas on what makes Grange Conservation Area distinctive and which aspects of its architecture and history make it special.
"We want to hear their thoughts so that the draft character appraisal reflects local peoples views."
