MEMBERS of a north Durham community are being urged to make use of facilities on their doorstep.
A new committee has taken over Delves Lane Village Hall, near Consett, and is looking for more people to make use of it.
It currently offers a lunch club, kids classes as well as arts and crafts sessions.
But new chairman Bessie Killen said there was scope put on a youth club as well as sessions for dance classes, older people and mens’ interests clubs.
She said committee members were looking for ideas from residents.
Mrs Killen said: "We want to know what people want to have on offer here.
"We could have a Polish afternoon with Polish food because there are a lot of people from Poland living in the community and it would encourage them to be more integrated."
Anyone with ideas can call the hall on 01207-583174.
