WELL-KNOWN television comedian Andy Parsons played to a packed house in Northallerton last weekend.
More than 400 people crammed into the Hambleton Forum on Saturday, to see the sell out show.
Mr Parsons is perhaps best known from the BBC’s Mock the Week and Live at the Apollo programmes.
Kate Staines, an arts development officer with Hambleton District Council, said: "We are delighted to have welcomed a comedian of this calibre to the Northallerton stage.
"It proves that this is the kind of show that people want to come and see and encourages us to look to other high profile tours.
"Andy had the audience rolling in the aisles from the moment he took to the stage – and they were wiping their eyes at the end.
"He covered everything from teachers and the environment to President Obama, with plenty of mickey taking of audience members and local jokes."
