FIRE fighters were called out to allotments last night after several derelict sheds caught fire.
Two fire engines from Darlington were called to the allotments on Hundens Lane in the town shortly after 10pm.
Three propane cylinders which were near to the blaze had to be cooled and moved to safety.
A large quantity of rubbish on open land near to the timber sheds also caught fire and had to be dealt with by fire fighters.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
