I’ve got some blown plaster in my hall. What should I do about it?

You really need to replaster, or preferably get a plasterer to do it.

Plastering is difficult for DIYers to get right.

If you’re not putting any weight on the plaster – such as with coat hooks – you could try papering over it with lining paper or wallpaper. This should keep it in, although this isn’t the ideal long-term solution.
