AN All-Stars fundraising match to help cash-strapped Darlington FC is to take place on its original date.
The match which will feature a host of footballing talent will take place at The Northern Echo Darlington Arena on Sunday, May 3 at 2pm.
There were concerns that the match may have to be moved to the following day because all three North-East Premier League teams were involved in televised matches that weekend.
However, because the Middlesbrough match has been moved, the All-Stars fixture can take place on its original date.
The original stars including Paul Gascoigne and Gareth Southgate are able to attend.
There are a number of sponsorship and hospitality opportunities for people and businesses on the day.
These include shirt sponsors for the 1999/2000 playoff team, a play to play scheme where members of the public can pay to be part of the team, director and chairman for the day, and many others.
Tickets for the game cost £10 for adults and £5 for children.
