POLICE are appealing for information after a 23-year-old man suffered a fractured skull and damaged ear canal following an assault.
Officers believe the incident started outside Blakes in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, between midnight and 2am on Saturday morning.
A 23-year-old man is thought to have been assaulted outside the pub before the trouble moved into town and a further assault took place outside Boots.
The man, from Newton Aycliffe, was taken my ambulance to Darlington Memorial Hospital and has been in and out for treatment for about three days.
Days earlier factory worker, Michael Kelly, 21, was convicted of the manslaughter of Cliff Palmer, 73, following an incident, last September, outside Blakes.
Kelly, from Newton Aycliffe, will be sentenced on May 8 but the incidents are not thought to be connected.
