DARTS fans turned back the clock a quarter of a century last night to raise money for cash-strapped Darlington Football Club.
The Quakers held an evening with Eric Bristow and Keith Deller last night, repeating the 1983 Embassy World Darts Championship final when Deller won, claiming one of the biggest upsets in the sport’s history.
The night, which was planned last year, served as part of the fundraising events for the club.
Eric Bristow said: “It’s all a bit of fun but it can be very nerve-wracking for the people who are picked to play against us.
“There are quite a few people here tonight which shows the club should survive next season. We wish them the best of luck when they start afresh.”
