TIME is running out for would-be models who want to strut their stuff on the catwalk at the Great Yorkshire Show.
The entry deadline for the Yorkshire Agricultural Society's "Find a Model Young Farmer" competition falls on April 30.
The society's marketing manager Deborah Goodall said: "We are introducing a new element to our popular fashion shows by involving young farmers as models on the catwalk.
"The reason behind this is to increase the farming involvement, and it enables us to present menswear which we haven't focussed on in previous years."
The shows take place in the Skipton Building Society Fashion Pavilion and the Society is looking for eight models to take part on July 14, the first day of the Great Yorkshire Show.
Each of the models will be professionally trained and an overall winner will be announced. The winner will get £300 with £50 for each of the seven other finalists. The winner will also receive a case of Black Sheep Beer.
The fashion shows, which attract over 5,000 visitors each year, include both cutting-edge styles from the region's fashion and design students, as well as collections from leading designers.
The competition is open to anyone aged between 18 and 35 years, who is actively involved in farming.
