BISHOP Auckland College is hosting its second free music festival in June.
Student and school bands are part of the lineup for this year’s event taking place over two days on the field next to the new college campus on Woodhouse Lane.
Pop, indie, rock, hip-hop, tribute and established bands are also playing on Friday June 26 and Saturday June 27, when a beer tent, craft and food stalls and fairground rides are also planned.
Bishop Auckland Town Council are sponsoring the festival with other funding from Durham County Council and support from St John’s RC School, Brotherton’s Music Shop, in Newgate Street, and Durham FM.
Mayor Alan Anderson said the event would raise the profile of the town.
The college’s first festival last year was included in its programme of 50th anniversary celebrations.
