A POLICE officer has denied causing death while driving without due care and attention.
PC Thomas David Hart pleaded not guilty to causing the death of 25-year-old Amiee Walsh, while responding to an emergency call on October 18 last year.
The Cleveland Police officer was approaching Newport Bridge, in Middlesbrough, when the incident occurred at 2.15am.
Miss Walsh suffered multiple injuries and died in hospital a month later.
Mr Hart, 27, of Sunderland, is based at Stockton police station.
The case was adjourned until April 24.
