Congratulations are, therefore, due to Chief Sports Writer Scott Wilson who tipped the winner of golf's US Masters at 100-1.
"I'll be having an each-way flutter on 100-1 shot Angel Cabrera," announced Wilson in his column on the eve of the big event.
"How much did you win?" I asked when he texted to remind his editor of his sporting genius.
"Nothing. I forgot to put the bet on," was the reply.
