DAREDEVIL fundraisers are needed to take part in a charity zip wire challenge at a football ground.
Sunderland AFC Foundation, the club’s charitable group, is offering people the chance to travel 600 metres over the pitch at the Stadium of Light at up to 40mph.
Former Sunderland captain Kevin Ball and the city’s Olympic boxer, Tony Jeffries, will take part.
Mr Ball, now coaching the club’s youth players, said: “The zip wire sounds like great fun and the fact that all sponsorship goes to charity is a bonus.”
Olympic bronze medallist Jeffries said: “The views will be amazing.”
The event will take place from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday, May 17.
Adults and children can take part.
Participants must be 16 or, if younger, have a signed parental consent form.
There is also a 17-stone weight limit.
To take part, call organisers on 0191-551-5309.
