TWO bikers were taken to hospital after a serious road accident on the A66 today.
The incident took place one mile west of Scotch Corner in North Yorkshire at 11.55am.
The rider and pillion passenger on a blue Suzuki, a couple from Wetherby, were taken to the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton by ambulance.
Police want to trace a car and caravan which was in the immediate area at the time.

In a separate incident, a biker died after a collision with a car in the Yorkshire Dales.
The accident happened on the A59 at the junction with the entrance to Hambleton filling station, at Bolton Abbey, near Skipton, at 9.55am today, when a black or blue Suzuki motorbike collided with a black Vauxhall Corsa.
The male rider died, and the three people in the Corsa were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
