A COUNTY Durham man got an extra birthday present when he discovered he had bagged £500 of supermarket vouchers.
Kevin Thomson, from Crook, bagged £500 to spend on a shopping spree in Morrisons in a prize draw from energy company ScottishPower.
Full time house-hband Kevin said: "It was my birthday when I got the call from ScottishPower saying I’d won the vouchers so it really couldn’t have come at a better time.
It was definitely the best birthday present I’ve had.
Mr Thomspn, his wife Paula and two children, three-year-old Libby and 18-month-old Laila, are looking forward to moving to a nearby Billy Row at the end of the month.
He added: "My family and I are moving house in a few weeks so I plan on buying lots of new household goods from Morrisons."
