SPONSORSHIP packages that include photo opportunities with Paul Gascoigne and shirts signed by him have been revealed by Darlington FC for their fundraising friendly match.

Gascoigne will make his return to the football pitch on May 3 in an allstars game organised by the Quakers.

He will lead a team of stars, including many from the North-East, against Darlington’s 1999-2000 play-off finalists at The Northern Echo Darlington Arena.

Other players lined up for the match include Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate and former players Marco Gabbiadini, Kevin Ball and Bernie Slaven.

Club officials for the side, which is in administration, said the packages included a company name on the team shirts and programme, an executive box for ten guests and a carvery meal.

The cost of sponsoring the all-star team will be £2,000, with the play-off team costing £1,500.

Five fans will also take part in the game, with people bidding for a place in the teams.

Other sponsorship packages include the chance to be director or chairman for the day.

Tickets, costing £10 for adults and £5 for children, will be available from Monday.
